A bit about me...

I’m an educational consultant who has previously served on both the Nyack BOE for 15 years (10 years as the Board president) and the BOCES board. I served as Executive Director of the Rockland County School Board’s Association. I've been honored by the New York state school boards association as Advocate of the Year. I am the parent/guardian of 8 Nyack Graduates and I have lived in the district since 1978.
Why I am getting involved...
A fierce advocate for all students
Our district is in crisis. Our leadership has lost the faith and confidence of our teachers, administrators, TA’s, secretaries, and a host of other staff members, including the entire staff of the Administration building. Leadership change will bring our district’s focus back on children where it belongs.
There was a time when we had real communication in this district.
We need to restore the district’s connections with all stakeholders.
We all want to ensure that every child receives a sound, basic education as the state constitution promises. Taxpayers need attention and relief. The school budget increased almost 14% in the last two years alone. This year the proposed tax levy increase is 2.9%. We can meet the needs of the district without as much pain in the pocketbook.
